1. About SpidyOps

spidyops.com is the website of SpidyOps Inc., a software and security company incorporated in Ontario, Canada. The site publishes our writing, tools, and information about the services we offer. In these Terms, "SpidyOps", "we", "us", and "our" refer to SpidyOps Inc.

2. Acceptable use

By using this site you agree:

  • Not to attempt unauthorised access to the site or its underlying infrastructure.
  • Not to use the tools or content to attack systems you do not own or are not authorised to test.
  • Not to scrape, harvest, or republish content in bulk without permission.
  • Not to submit unlawful, abusive, or misrepresentative content via any form.

3. Accounts

When you create an account: you are responsible for keeping your authentication factors secure (magic-link email inbox, GitHub credentials, TOTP authenticator). Notify us immediately at security@spidyops.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Content licence

Everything published on this site is © SpidyOps Inc., all rights reserved. That covers the articles and writing, the tools, the copy and designs, and the SpidyOps name, wordmark, and logos. You may link to it and quote short excerpts with attribution, but republishing, redistributing, or adapting it requires our written permission. If SpidyOps open-sources a tool, that tool carries its own stated licence, which governs that tool alone. For reuse requests, email ask@spidyops.com.

5. Services

Services offered through SpidyOps — including penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, software development, design, branding, SEO, and merchandise — are governed by separate engagement contracts. These Terms govern your use of the website only, not the delivery of contracted services.

6. Security research and disclosure

If you discover a security issue affecting spidyops.com or its infrastructure, report it to security@spidyops.com. We commit to:

  • Acknowledge receipt within 72 hours.
  • Provide a triage decision within 14 days.
  • Credit reporters in our disclosure log unless anonymity is requested.
  • Not pursue legal action against good-faith researchers operating within these guidelines.

Full responsible-disclosure policy at /security.

7. Use at your own risk

Security writeups describe techniques used against in-scope targets that authorised the research. Applying those techniques to systems you don't own or aren't authorised to test is your responsibility — and is illegal in most jurisdictions.

8. No warranty

The site and its content are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. SpidyOps disclaims liability for any damage arising from use of information, tools, or services described on this site, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SpidyOps's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to this site shall not exceed the greater of (a) one hundred percent (100%) of the total fees paid by the claimant to SpidyOps under the specific engagement giving rise to the claim, or (b) CAD $5,000. Some jurisdictions don't allow limitation of certain damages — in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by local law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SpidyOps from any claim, demand, loss, or damages arising from your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced to newsletter subscribers and surfaced via a banner on the site. The effective date above indicates the current version. A full changelog is available at /terms/changelog.
