Terms of Use — Changelog

Every revision of the terms, oldest at the bottom. The current effective version is at /terms.

  1. v1.4

    2026-07-26

Removed section 3 (Accounts) and renumbered the sections after it. The site no longer has user accounts, sign-in, or multi-factor authentication, so there are no authentication factors for you to keep secure and no accounts for us to suspend. Also dropped the remaining references to publishing our own writing and tools, since those surfaces were removed — the content licence now covers the copy, designs, and case studies.

  2. v1.3

    2026-07-08

Content licence changed from CC BY-SA 4.0 to all rights reserved (proprietary). Short quotation with attribution is still fine; bulk republication or adaptation now needs written permission. Aligns the licence with the agency identity and with the rest of the site, which already stated proprietary.

  3. v1.2

    2026-05-07

Liability cap revised from placeholder to fees-based formula scoped to the specific engagement: greater of 100% of engagement fees, or CAD $5,000.

  4. v1.1

    2026-05-06

Full rewrite from personal-blog terms into a 14-section company-brand policy. New: about, accounts, content licence (CC BY-SA 4.0), services routed to engagement contracts, security disclosure SLAs, no-warranty + CAD $100 liability cap, indemnity, governing law (Ontario / Canada), changes + changelog link, contact split (services / security / privacy).

  5. v1.0

    2026-04-15

Initial terms. Personal-blog scope: acceptable use, content licence, no warranty, contact.
