Fitra
An offline-first Islamic companion app — Quran, prayer, hadith, and worship tracking — designed and built in-house, free and private.
The product
Fitra puts the Quran (with translations, tafsir, and per-ayah audio), prayer times and adhan, qibla, hadith, dua, dhikr, and worship trackers in one app. It is sect-aware — Sunni and Shia content side by side — and every text is shown with its source.
Engineering
The whole corpus works offline and lives on the device. Per-ayah audio syncs to the reader with reciter choice and variable speed. The interface ships in 12 languages with 18-plus seasonal themes whose ambient scenes follow the real time of day.
Privacy by design
No accounts, no ads, and no tracking. Location is used only to calculate prayer times and weather, and never leaves the phone. The privacy posture was a design constraint from the start, not a setting added later.
Why it matters here
Fitra is proof of the Design and Development practices on a real, shipped product — built to the same bar we hold client work to.
